SMART&TOUCH-ID

The SMART&Touch-ID project promotes the activities of a virtuous territorial Hub that can design and validate rehabilitation care paths for chronic non-communicable diseases (NCD) through innovative enabling technologies, in response to the needs of well-being and customization of the patient-citizen. The goal is therefore to create a rehabilitation HUB, a technological incubator, aggregator of skills and professionalism, that supports the entire process of innovation, development of new technologies and sustainability assessment on the market: the SMART&Touch-ID.

The technological development will be based on the needs of the ecosystem of patients, Public Administrations (PA) and territory, in a virtuous synergy between citizens, territory, specialists, doctors, public administration and industry in the circular definition of needs, functional requirements, enabling technologies and sustainability.

The project is fully part of the OMS’s great challenge to promote mental health and well-being of patients with NCD who represent the second global health threat after environmental pollution and are responsible for about 70% of mortality in world, absorbing much of States’ economic resources. The initiative is a research project co-funded by the Lombardy Region, which Astir implements with a partnership of excellence:
  • FOUNDATION DON CARLO GNOCCHI
  • CARLO CATTANEO UNIVERSITY – LIUC
  • IRCCS CENTRO SAN GIOVANNI DI DIO – FATEBENEFRATELLI
