Platform for home-based cognitive rehabilitation

With a research project co-funded by the Lombardy Region, together with companies of technological innovation, universities and clinical rehabilitation centers, we have developed a cognitive and behavioral home rehabilitation model for people with dementia.

Thanks to a second research project, with neurologists and psychotherapists from the Don Gnocchi Foundation, consulting psychologists from Milan’sBicocca University and home care experts from Telbios, we are perfecting the technological tools with which people perform rehabilitation while staying at home and clinicians follow up from specialized centers.

Astir has focused on the computerization of rehabilitation exercises developed by Don Gnocchi, so that patients can easily and immediately use them through a tablet app.

This cognitive gym has been tested with 50 patients within the scientific research protocols of the projects mentioned.
